Creative Development
In this area we offer opportunities for children to explore and express their thoughts and ideas through art, music, dance, role play and imaginative play.
We provide regular opportunities for children to explore colours, textures, shapes, form and space and 2 and 3 dimensions.
We aim to give children a love of music providing opportunities for children to listen to and respond appropriately to all types of music. To listen to various sounds and to experiment with sound and how it can be changed. To sing favourite songs from memory to to match movement to music. To play various music instruments and follow simple beats and sound patterns.
To develop their imaginative skills in art, design, music, dance, drama, imaginative, role play and stories.
To respond in a variety of ways to what they see, hear, smell, touch, taste and feel.
To use a wide variety of tools, modelling clay and various boxes, tubes and other containing to create 3D models.
