Learning Alliance Accreditation

Ladybridge Pre-School were presented with a national excellence award by Ivan Lewis, junior education minister in November 2004.

"The award, endorsed by Investors in Children, recognises the pre-school's excellent quality of provision and its work to involve parents in the youngsters' learning."

Mr. Lewis said "Good quality services like Ladybridge Pre-School support young children's development and help parents balance work and family life."

Accreditation helps pre-schools further improve the quality of education and care offered to children under five. It increases their status and ensures they receive proper recognition from parents, from their local communities and from local authorities for the high standards they achieve.

A plaque featuring some of the inspectors' findings will be put up as a reminder about the award. It will say:

• "The staff team work well together."
• "An excellent pre-school where children learn to become independent learners."
• "I was impressed with the excellent adult child interaction I observed."
